1. Virat Kohli
The first on the list of IPL best batsman is none other than Virat Kohli. The former Royal Challengers Bangalore, who played for only one franchise since his debut in the IPL is the highest run-scorer in the tournament. The right-hander has so far featured in 202 matches and has amassed 6185 runs at an average of 37.49 and strike rate of 130.32. He also has the record of most runs in a season when he scored 973 runs in IPL 2016.

2. Rohit Sharma
Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma has been a prolific run-getters in IPL. He’s second on the list of IPL best batsman. The right-hander has represented Deccan Chargers and Mumbai Indians. Apart from being the most successful IPL, the 34-year-old is the second-highest run-getter in the tournament so far. He has played 209 IPL matches and has amassed 5556 runs at an average of 31.56 and a staggering strike rate of 152.24.
3. Suresh Raina
Known as Mr IPL, Suresh Raina is third on the list of IPL best batsman as he over the years have played some outstanding knocks in the marquee tournament. The southpaw has played for Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Lions in the IPL. In the total of 203 matches, Raina has scored 5523 runs at an average of 32.87 to go with a strike rate of 136.91.

4. David Warner
David Warner, the southpaw has represented Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the marquee tournament. The southpaw has played 150 games in IPL and in those games, he has amassed 5449 runs at an average of 41.59, which is the highest among all batters, and strike rate of 139.96. Notably, he also has won the orange cap three times.
5. AB de Villiers
Though we can’t see more of AB de Villiers as a player in IPL but his records in the league will speak volumes of him as a player. He’s fifth on the list of IPL best batsman. In his initial days in IPL, he played for Delhi Capitals, however, after that, he was an integral part of RCB till he announced his retirement recently. He played 179 matches in IPL and scored a total of 5079 runs at an average of 39.99 and a strike rate of 152.24.
