One of the most awaited news for Indian cricket fans is out although it was a known one, it has been made official and the CSK fans are ecstatic after hearing the news.
IPL 2023: CSK to be lead by MS Dhoni
CSK is the most consistent side in IPL history and no other side even comes close to them in terms of consistency. MS Dhoni has lead CSK to playoffs in 11 of 13 seasons which is astonishing to say the least. T20 is a high volatile format and to maintain this consistency in the toughest competition out there in world cricket is unimaginable but the man from Jharkhand has proved that it’s possible.
CSK failed to make the playoffs for the first time in 2020, which is after 10 seasons. They came back pretty strongly in the very next season to win the trophy for fourth time in 2021. But faced a major setback in 2022 where they finished at the 9th position in the points table. It was an embarrassing performance from them but it was largely down to pathetic auction they endured where they picked trash players which bit them in the back.
MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020 but never stopped playing for CSK. He was largely playing as a specialist captain in the side in the last 2 years and it has been confirmed that he will continue to be a specialist captain in IPL 2023. The CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan confirmed the news.

Will IPL 2023 be the last IPL for MS Dhoni?
Earlier, MS Dhoni gave his word to the fans that he will retire from IPL only after playing in front of the Chepauk crowd, and the upcoming IPL 2023 could well be the last season for the best ever wicket keeper batsman from India. MS Dhoni.
He would be eager to hang is boots on a high, and after a terrible season in 2022, MS Dhoni has all the more reasons to give some smile to the fans of CSK.
