Captained by Hardik Pandya, GT shocked the cricket community by winning the IPL 2022 trophy during their first IPL season. The Gujarat IPL team has just traded Rahmanullah Gurbaz to Kolkata Knight Riders and released 4 players ahead of IPL 2023. Here’s probable GT 2023 Playing 11 they could go with this season.
1. Shubhman Gill

8. Alzarri Joseph
The tall pacey bowler from West Indies was the Titans’ surprise package last year. He has a latent advantage due to his left-handedness and is a threat with the new ball, especially with the new ball on pacer-friendly wickets.
9. Mohammed Shami
Post the T20 World Cup, Mohammed Shami’s stock as a T20 bowler has definitely taken a hit. However, if used effectively, Shami is as good as anyone else upfront when the ball is swinging and still possesses a killer yorker in the death.
10. Sai Kishore
Sai Kishore is one of the most promising up-and-coming spinners in the country. A product of the Tamil Nadu Premier League, the left-arm spinner has made a name for himself thanks to his economical bowling both in the powerplay and the middle overs and will be an exciting talent to watch out for come 2023.
11. Yash Dayal
The tall left-arm fast bowler from Uttar Pradesh was one of the finds of the last season. He blossomed under the able tutelage of Ashish Nehra and picked 11 wickets in just 9 games. Although his line and lengths can be inconsistent at times, he is definitely a talent for the future who must be invested in.
