IPL 2022 Purple Cap: As this season has been a high scoring ones, the lives of the bowlers have been pretty difficult to say the least. Lets take a look at some of the top wicket takers in this season.
IPL 2022 purple cap
It is a known thing that leg spinners are natural wicket takers in white ball cricket. Their ability to turn the ball both the ways makes them a good match up to both right hand and left hand batsmen. Both Yuzvendra Chahal and Wanindu Hasaranga are being separated by just 2 wickets and any one of the wrist spinner can grab the purple cap. With both the teams set to make the playoffs, their competition is going to run deep into the season.
They both have broken some handful of games with their crafty wrist spin and they are one of the major reasons for their team’s successful campaign so far.
Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav leading Purple Cap 2022 race
Kuldeep Yadav started the season well with some handful of wickets, with the pitch had some bounce during the initial stage of the competition, he was able to trouble the batsmen with that additional bounce but with the pitches being worn out, Kuldeep Yadav has been an easy target for the opposition batsmen. He has picked just one wicket in his last 4 games of the season. DC would need their wicket taker to come good in their next 2 matches as they need to win their remaining 2 games to qualify for the playoffs.
