The entire Delhi Capitals squad is currently under a strict quarantine in their respective rooms with door-to-door Covid-19 tests scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. It is quite evident that there seems to be a panic in the Delhi-based IPL franchise camp after which they also cancelled their scheduled travel to Pune ahead of their next match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on 20 April, 2022 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. The IPL technical committee has come up with a big announcement that the upcoming DC vs PBKS match will now take place at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on 20 April (Wednesday).

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Delhi Capitals medical team is right now closely monitoring the whole situation and the health of the players as well as support staff members. A similar type of situation occurred during the first leg of IPL 2021 when the tournament was suspended indefinitely due to multiple COVID-19 cases in different teams. However, the T20 carnival was then hosted successfully in the UAE.
