IPL 2022 Final Start Time: In a massive breaking news development, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced a new start time for the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) final. The 15th edition of the IPL will have its grand finale on 29 May, 2022 (Sunday) scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Indian Premier League 2022 season is currently in its final week where only four matches are remaining in the group stage with only two teams, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants sealing their respective playoffs spots.

The BCCI have come up with a big announcement that this year’s IPL 2022 final will be starting at 8 PM IST instead of the original start time that was 7:30 PM IST. The major reason for the change in start timings is due to the return of the closing ceremony for the Indian Premier League 2022 season. In order to accommodate the IPL 2022 closing ceremony grand event, the BCCI have decided to postpone the start time of the final match by half an hour.

According to reports, the BCCI has planned a big event for this year’s IPL 2022 closing ceremony. All the major officials of Indian state cricket boards have been sent a special invitation while some of the Bollywood stars will also be performing in the mega event. It is also understood that IPL 2022 closing ceremony is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM IST and the event will run for a duration of 50 minutes.

IPL 2022 Playoffs Qualification Scenarios
With the Indian Premier League 2022 season in its final week, the race for the playoffs qualification has become quite intense. The likes of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad are very much alive to seal the final two spots for the knockouts. In case RCB beats Gujarat Titans in the today IPL match and Mumbai Indians wins their last league match against Delhi Capitals, then the Faf du Plessis-led team will qualify for the playoffs.

The Qualifier 1 and Eliminator of Indian Premier League 2022 will take place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. On the other hand, Qualifier 2 and final is scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
