Delhi Capitals Covid Player ahead of CSK vs DC: In a big breaking news update, the Delhi Capitals (DC) have reported yet another positive COVID-19 case. Earlier in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) season, the Rishabh Pant-led DC team had already reported multiple Covid-19 cases including Tim Seifert, Mitchell Marsh and team physio Patrick Farhat contracting the virus. The Delhi Capitals are scheduled to play against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai on 8 May (Sunday).

According to an Indian Express report, Delhi Capitals net bowler has tested positive and subsequently all of remaining players have been asked to isolate in their respective rooms. It is also understood both the net bowler and his roommate have been placed under isolation. As per sources, a fresh round of testing has taken place on the Sunday morning and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to make an official announcement.

“We understand the match will go ahead, otherwise we would have been informed by now. It is only a net bowler and all players are in their rooms. So we do not expect changes,” said a CSK official.

However, it is being learnt that the Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Capitals today IPL match will go ahead as per the original schedule. It remains to be seen who is the roommate of the COVID positive net bowler placed in isolation.

Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Capitals: Possible DC Playing 11

The Delhi Capitals will be hoping that both of their key players, Axar Patel and Prithvi Shaw are back in the playing 11 for this game against CSK on Sunday. Axar sustained a hip injury while Prithvi was unwell before the last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
