Two such examples have been Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw, who got their entry into the Indian team after consistent performances in the IPL and domestic cricket. Dhawan came to the Indian team in 2013 after scoring 569 runs in 15 matches of IPL 2012. While, Prithvi Shaw who initially made his debut in test, managed to find a place in the ODI team in 2020 after scoring 353 runs in IPL 2019.
