The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 ended in one of the most thrilling manners. The MS Dhoni-led side after dominating the league phase of the tournament found themselves in the final. On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders after having a forgettable first leg of the tournament, staged a comeback for ages and on account of some sensational performances entered the finals. However, when it mattered the most, Chennai Super Kings yet again proved why they are one of the best teams in the tournament as they soaked in the pressure well and went on to clinch their fourth IPL Title.
IPL 2021 Prize money for winners and runner up
The winners of the IPL 2021, Chennai Super Kings, will take home the amount of INR 20 Crores. While the runner ups, Kolkata Knight Riders, have received the amount of INR 12.5 Crores.

While the other two teams Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, who qualified for the playoffs, have bagged the amount of INR 4.375 Crores each.
Apart from the prize pool for the winners, runner ups, and playoffs teams, the winner of the orange cap and purple cap along with emerging players of the tournament will bag the amount of INR 10 Lakhs each.

IPL 2021: Who won the orange and purple cap in IPL 2021?
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 was host to many sensational performances both with the bat as well as with the ball. The orange cap in this edition of IPL was grabbed by Chennai Super Kings’ young opener Ruturaj Gaikwad. The right-handed opener in a total of 16 games amassed 635 runs at an average of 39.
While the purple cap in the 14th edition of IPL 2021 has been awarded to Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Harshal Patel, who has been sensational with the ball this season. His heroics in this season even earned him the name ‘Purple Patel’ as in 15 matches he scalped 32 wickets.
