IPL 2021: Will Eoin Morgan be available for the first KKR game?
Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Eoin Morgan sustained a finger injury during the recently concluded ODI series against India due to which he also missed the last two ODI matches. During a recent interview, Morgan mentioned that both he and the KKR medical staff are hopeful that the skipper will recover in time for the first game against SRH on April 11. However, a confirmation on the same will only be available after Morgan resumes his practice ahead of the upcoming season.
“We are having a camp in Mumbai, so a change of venue, change of scenery, change of energy which is good. And the hand is progressing nicely. I will get my stitches out tomorrow then I will start my batting again following a few days, fielding before the first game, so looking forward to it. I think it will depend upon progress, how the next week goes. It will determine whether I will be fit for the first game or not. Certainly, with the time frame that I have all of the medical staff are backing me to be fit, that’s just without the reoccurrence of many issues,” said KKR captain Eoin Morgan during a recent interview with Sky Sports Cricket.
