4th February was the last date for players to sign up for the auctions. Among the big players who opted out of the auction are Australian pacer Mitchell Starc and England Test skipper Joe Root. Several experts had predicted a fierce bidding war for Starc as he is an experienced fast bowler with a deadly yorker. However, the pace bowler has decided to opt-out of the auction. England Test skipper Joe Root isn’t known for his T20 exploits and he too has opted out of the auction.
