Chopra noted that RCB have 11 total slots vacant, out of which three are overseas slots. So, he feels that they have to shop whole-heartedly because they don’t have the overseas options in the playing XI ready.
The former opening batsman thinks RCB will run after Mitchell Starc if he is available. He noted RCB has money, so they can run after him. In fact, Chopra feels, the franchise can go to 15-19 crores also if they wish to do so.
Maxwell, Shakib, Mujeeb, Malan to get big money feels Chopra
After Starc, Chopra feels Glenn Maxwell will be the second most expensive player in the IPL auction 2021. The Aussie batsman is known for his big-hitting and his acrobatic fielding. However, his lack of form meant Punjab released him after the 2020 auction.

The 43-year-old India ex-cricketer is also banking on England top-order batsman Dawid Malan to get big money in the auction. Malan is currently the number 1 batsman in T20I rankings and is famous for playing long innings.
Similarly, Chopra feels the likes of Shakib Al Hasan and Mujeeb-ur-Rahman will fetch good money in the auction courtesy of their niche skills. Mujeeb’s tight spin bowling can be an asset while Shakib brings experience as well as the cushion of batting along with his effective left-arm spin.
