Mumbai Indians Playing 11: With just a week remaining for the IPL 2021 to kick off, plenty of talks are taking place about who the best players will be this time around. Apart from that fans of different franchises are formulating their best paying elevens. Former Indian opening batsman Aakash Chopra has also been quite active on social media, while, talking about the best playing combination of each team. This time it was the Mumbai Indians that the cricketer turned broadcaster weighed in upon. Mumbai Indians are the defending champions and have now won five IPL trophies, which makes them the most successful franchise as of now.
With ample quality and depth in the Mumbai Indians squad, it wasn’t as difficult for Aakash Chopra to predict what the strongest playing eleven would look like. Rohit Sharma along with Quinton de Kock was named as the ideal opening option, whereas, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard and the Pandya brothers could further strengthen the batting order.
“Rohit Sharma along with Quinton de Kock, then Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan, that makes it the top four. Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Kieron Pollard – this makes it seven already. You can move them up and down the batting order,” said the expert.

Aakash Chopra opted for Jasprit Bumrah, and Trent Boult to share the new ball. Writ spinner Rahil Chahar and Nathan Coulter Nile could chip in at the middle overs as well.
“After the top seven, you only need to pick four more players and you have picked only two overseas till now. In the four you have Bumrah and Rahul Chahar. So, only two are left in which one you can take Trent Boult and along with him you can play Nathan Coulter-Nile if you want or any other player you wish to play,” he concurred.
“They have a lot of options. If they don’t play four overseas also, it will still work out for this team. They are that kind of a side. So one more time, the Mumbai Indians is going to be the team to watch out for and the team for everyone to beat if you are capable of doing that,” Chopra added.
