3. Out of form MI lineup
MI may have the strongest team on paper, but barring Quinton de Kock and Surya Kumar Yadhav most of their other players are either coming back from an injury or is not at best of their form. The lack of form of Bumrah and injury concerns of Rohit and Hardik will bring some joy to the CSK dressing room.
4. The fortress ‘AnbuDen’

Fondly called by the fans as ‘AnbuDen’ , the M. A Chidambaram stadium in Chepauk has been the favorite hunting ground for the Super Kings. CSK have been formidable at home, and in the last 17 home games they’ve have lost just twice. But contrary to that Mumbai Indians has been the opponent that beat them on both the occasions. But with the spin armoury at disposal even the mighty MI would struggle to keep their feet up in Chennai. With 7 of their 14 league games played there, they can easily make it to the play off’s again if their dominant home run continues.

5. Odd year syndrome
Superstitious or not, MI had always performed better in odd years. All their 4 title wins have come in odd years(2013, 2015, 2017, 2019). Nevertheless their performances in even years had not been that great.
