IPL 2019: Complete list of retained, released players

The auctions for the 2019 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) will happen soon and for that, all franchises have announced the full list of their retained and released players.
Chennai Super Kings:
The defending champions of IPL have retained their core unit valuing experience.
Retained players: MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Faf du Plessis, M Vijay, Shane Watson, Ravindra Jadeja, Mitchell Santner, David Willey, Dwayne Bravo, Kedar Jadhav, Ambati Rayudu, Sam Billings, Harbhajan Singh, Deepak Chahar, KM Asif, Lungi Ngidi, Imran Tahir, Karn Sharma, Dhruv Shorey, N Jagadeesan, Shardul Thakur, Monu Kumar, Chaitanya Bishnoi.
Released players: Mark Wood, Kanishk Seth, Kshitiz Sharma.

Mumbai Indians:
The three times IPL champions have released plenty of players including JP Duminy, Pat Cummins, and Saurabh Tiwary but have retained some key players along with roping in Quinton de Kock.

Sunrisers Hyderabad:
The biggest news is the release of Shikhar Dhawan and the inclusion of three utility cricketers. Apart from that, Carlos Brathwaite has been released as well.

Rajasthan Royals:
Jaydev Unadkat who was bought at a hefty sum is released along with a few other Indian players for 2019 IPL.
Retained: Steven Smith, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Ish Sodhi, Ajinkya Rahane, K Gowtham, Sanju Samson, Shreyas Gopal, Aryaman Birla, S Midhun, Prashant Chopra, Stuart Binny, Rahul Tripathi, Dhawal Kulkarni, Mahipal Lomror.

The axing of Mitchell Starc with one text message has already made news but KKR have thinned their bowling resources by releasing Vinay Kumar, and Mitchell Johnson.
Retained: Dinesh Karthik, Robin Uthappa, Chris Lynn, Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Shivam Mavi, Kuldeep Yadav, Piyush Chawla, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Prasidh Krishna.

The IPL franchise is revamping their entire set-up including players and support staff. Big names like Gambhir, Maxwell, and Shami are released while Dhawan is roped in.

Royal Challengers Bangalore
Big names including McCullum, Mandeep Singh, and de Kock are released while the much-needed team balance is somewhat achieved by adding Stoinis to the team.
