A video of the official app for streaming of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Hotstar leaked on social media and it caused a furore among the people.
The video was an advertisement featuring Chennai Super Kings and the Kolkata Knight Riders as the finalists. While the Super Kings have qualified for the finals, Sunrisers Hyderabad would be locking horns with Kolkata Knight Riders in Qualifier 2 to reach the finals of the competition.
The promotional video made rounds on social media before the Knight Riders took on the Rajasthan Royals. While many people pointed out that it is one of the videos that Hotstar would have made preparing for the final, the others speculated that the IPL might be a fixed event.
In the video uploaded, Hotstar had made a grand intro title showing both the franchise in a head-to-head style advertisement.
The final of the competition will be played on May 27 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
