Ravindra Jadeja Out of Asia Cup 2022: In a big breaking news development, India’s premier all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the remainder of Asia Cup 2022 tournament. India secured the top position on the points table in the Group A of the T20 tournament after their brilliant back-to-back victories against Pakistan and Hong Kong.
Injured Ravindra Jadeja Out of Asia Cup 2022. Replacement Announced in India Squad
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made an official announcement that Ravindra Jadeja has sustained a right knee injury and he will not take further part in the remaining Asia Cup 2022. However, it is still not clear as to when the left-arm spinner suffered the injury. Incidentally, the all-rounder sustained a right knee injury just before start of the three-matcch ODI series in West Indies. Jadeja contributed a crucial knock of 35 runs off 29 balls under pressure in the match against arch-rivals Pakistan to help his team secure an amazing victory. He also took a wicket with the ball in the game against Hong Kong on Wednesday. The BCCI have further named spin bowling all-rounder Axar Patel as the like-for-like replacement who was already part of the reserves.
Team India is scheduled to play their next match in Asia Cup 2022 on 4 September against the winner of the game between Pakistan and Hong Kong. Axar is very much likely to straightaway walk into the India Playing 11 for the match on Sunday.
