A game to forget at MCG in 2008
India’s lowest ever score in the T20Is came against the Australians in their own den in the Melbourne cricket ground in the year 2008. India were the world champions then as they had won the T20 world cup just months before that game and India were nowhere near the quality of that Australian team that day.
India missed the services of Yuvraj Singh who was the most destructive T20 batter for India then and they were bundled out for just 74 runs. Irfan Pathan was the only batter from the Indian side who managed to cross the double digit. The all rounder scored 26 off 30 balls. Australia managed to hunt down the target inside 12 overs and won the game by 9 wickets.
