Watch: Indian fans chant 'Anushka Bhabhi Zindabad' in front of Virat Kohli

The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli did the unthinkable as his side thumped New Zealand 5-0 in the T20I series away from home which will indefinitely go down in the history books. Captain Kohli was indeed a pivotal figure throughout the series with his contributions with the bat as well some fantastic fielding displays.

After the game, a video went viral in which the Indian fans can be heard chanting ‘Anushka Bhabhi Zindabad’ to grab the attention of the Indian skipper. One could see Virat Kohli and his men heading back to the dugout while the chants went on, but Kohli or the rest of the players didn’t pay much heed to it, even if they did hear the fans being vocal enough.

Clean Sweep on Kiwi Soil

With Kohli sitting out the final game, it was Rohit Sharma who was named captain. While batting first Team India added a decent total of 163 for 3 in 20 overs.

Rohit Sharma topped the charts with a 41 ball 60 before he was forced off the field due to sustaining an injury to the calf. With Sharma no longer in the game, it was KL Rahul who marshalled the troops in the field. The Kiwis got off through a horrid start as they lost three early wickets for under the score of 20.

However, half-centuries by Tim Seifert and Ross Taylor did add pressure on the visitors before the pace trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Navdeep Saini and Shardul Thakur chipped in with the wickets. New Zealand fell short of seven runs in the end as Team India completed the whitewash.

The next frontier for Virat Kohli and co. will be the three-match ODI series with the Black Caps. The first game will be hosted at Seddon Park on Wednesday, February 5, 7:30 AM (IST).
