India vs Windies 3rd T20I: Three players to watch

After digesting 7 defeats in nine international matches, Windies are in Chennai for their last encounter in this tour of India. The visitors have been completely outplayed by the hosts except for a couple of games and hence when both teams will take the field on Sunday, India will be the clear favorites.
And this is why Team India will look to check their bench strength in this match. But even then these three players will be the ones to watch out for-
3. Bhuvneshwar Kumar-
Plagued with injuries and erratic form, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is going through a lean patch in 2018. The pacer has lost his mojo but with Jasprit Bumrah rested, Bhuvi once again has the opportunity to showcase his prowess.
The pacer will be tested on the batting-friendly Chennai surface but if he can get the new ball talk then life won’t be easy for Windies batsmen.
India needs Bhuvi to be at his best as the team will soon travel to Australia for an important overseas series.
2. Dinesh Karthik-
The local lad did well in the first T20I to bail the team out from a disastrous start but he needs to make a bigger impact to safeguard his place in the team.
Rishabh Pant has the age on his side as well as the selectors’ confidence which has made Karthik’s life even more difficult.
With the local crowd behind him, Karthik may bring out his best at Chennai on Sunday.
1. Krunal Pandya-
The left-arm spinner has been wonderful for the team so far in this series but despite this success, his place in the team isn’t guaranteed. His brother Hardik Pandya is India’s preferred choice for the number seven position as he bowls medium-pace while Ravindra Jadeja too is posing some threat.

Hence Krunal needs a stellar performance to finish his debut international series. A memorable all-around performance in the third T20I against Windies might offer Krunal a longer rope in the team.
