The selectors for Windies cricket team have announced a 14 member squad for the third and final India vs West Indies T20I match. The team has welcomed left-arm spinner Fabian Allen as a replacement for Khary Pierre.
Allen, who is 24 years old has played nine T20Is and 10 ODIs so far in his career and is ready to greet the international ground once again. Before this, he was seen featuring in the ICC World Cup 2019, where he also scored his maiden ODI half-century.
Windies selector’s interim Chairman, Robert Haynes, gave a statement about the player saying that “Fabian is a lively and energetic all-rounder and someone who we believe can win matches for us. We witnessed his performances in the Caribbean Premier League last year and also saw in the recent World Cup what he’s capable of doing”.
“We are planning for the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia next year, so we decided to include him here”.
While the Indian team has already bagged the series by a 2-0 lead, it will be interesting to watch if Windies bounce back in the final match or they will be swiped out by India when they finally meet at Guyana National Stadium on Tuesday.
