According to a report by Cricbuzz, Ravichandran Ashwin will be unavailable for the limited-overs home series against West Indies as he will be undergoing treatment that will keep him out for three weeks. Even after a below-par performance during the three-match ODI series against South Africa recently, it is being understood that Ashwin is now a permanent member of the India squad across the three formats and is a crucial part of the national side’s vision for the T20 World Cup 2022 and the 2023 ODI World Cup. Both captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid have collectively agreed on the need of the senior off-spinner’s experience in the side.
