Avesh Khan Debut: In a massive breaking news, right-arm pacer Avesh Khan is making his India debut in the third and final T20I match against West Indies in Kolkata. On the back of a wonderful performance, India managed to clinch the three-match T20I series by registering a thrilling 8-run victory against West Indies in the 2nd T20I. It will be important for West Indies to make a comeback and win their first match in this India tour.

In a huge moment, Avesh Khan has been handed his debut India T20I cap by senior pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the 3rd T20I against West Indies. Avesh was the second highest wicket-taker in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he picked up a brilliant tally of 24 wickets from 16 matches at an impressive economy of less than 8 while playing for the Delhi Capitals. While talking about his overall T20 career, the right-arm speedster has taken a total of 65 wickets in 48 games at an economy of 7.78.

Barring Avesh Khan, India have also included Shardul Thakur, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shreyas Iyer in the playing 11 for this third and final T20I against West Indies. The likes of Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Yuzvendra Chahal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are not playing today.
