Ishan Kishan to miss IND vs SL: The Indian team have been at finest of their form with the bat in the last 5 T20I matches on home soil. One of the reasons for them is Ishan Kishan, who has provided the team a solid start in most of the matches. But, here is the latest update about the wicket keeper batsman, who was struck on the helmet by a fiery bouncer from Lahiru Kumara.

It all happened in the 4th over of the India’s innings in India vs Sri Lanka 3rd T20I, when Ishan Kishan could not connect the nasty bouncer of 146 kmph from Sri Lanka pacer Lahiru Kumara. Then, Ishan immediately removed his helmet and the medical team soon reached the field as well. Although Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer stitched a 35-run partnership, the former was never comfortable after a serious blow on his head.

After the match got concluded, Ishan Kishan was admitted to a hospital in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. Here is the what doctor had to say about Ishan Kishan’s health status at night.

”I have been attached to the Indian team and I got information that an Indian player, who has sustained a head injury, has been brought here in the hospital. His CT scan was conducted and he has been under observation,” said Dr Shubham.

The CT scans were conducted at a hospital last night, which came out normal. But with a blow of this magnitude, the team management along with Rohit Sharma has decided to give rest to Ishan Kishan in the 3rd T20I. Here is the tweet by BCCI official Twitter account.

With his exclusion, Mayank Agarwal can feature in the India line up for the 3rd T20I.

IND vs SL 3rd T20I: Dinesh Chandimal Hospitalized?

In latest news development, the Sri Lanka wicket keeper batsman Dinesh Chandimal is also said to be hospitalized after sustaining a thumb injury in the India vs Sri Lanka 2nd T20I.

“A Sri Lankan player has also been admitted in the hospital, after receiving a thumb injury in the second T20I. We are monitoring everything right now,” Dr Shubham added.

In view of this, the Sri Lanka team is expected to include Niroshan Dickwella, who has been the regular wicket keeper of the team across all the formats.
