IND vs ENG Live: Not many things went in India’s favour in their massive 227-run loss at the hands of the visiting England in the first Test match in Chennai. However, it has been the complete opposite in the ongoing second India vs England Test match as captain Virat Kohli won an important toss on a pitch which was bound to assist the spinners and the Indian opener Rohit Sharma played a remarkable knock of 161 runs to take the track completely out of the equation and put the pressure back on the England bowlers. With crucial fifties from Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant, India posted an imposing total of 329 runs.

In their reply with the ball, India’s senior paceman Ishant Sharma provided his team a great start with the wicket of Rory Burns in the opening over. Then the Indian spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel bowled superbly well to reduce England to 52 for 5 including the big wicket of England skipper Joe Root. However, speedster Mohammed Siraj induced some more pressure on the English team removing Ollie Pope off his first ball of the match as wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant took a brilliant one-handed flying catch.

Pope was batting really well at the score of 22 tackling the Indian spinners but then gave his wicket in the form of a strangled down the leg as Pant took a spectacular catch behind the stumps. England are currently 97 for 6 and still trail by a massive total of 232 runs and thus, it will be a herculean task for the visitors to make a comeback in this Test match.
