India squad for Asia Cup 2022: In a massive news development, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced the India T20I squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 tournament. The Men in Blue will be facing arch-rivals Pakistan in their first match of the T20 competition on 28 August, 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. This will be the best preparation for the sub-continental team ahead of this year’s all-important ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

Team India have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming 2022 edition of the Asia Cup. The big update is that premier pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah was not available for selection due to a back injury while Harshal Patel also missed out because of a rib injury. The senior duo of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul have made their return to the India T20I squad after being rested for the last series against West Indies. The BCCI have announced as many as three stand-by players in Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel and Deepak Chahar.
