Chahar played a vital role in the first ODI against Zimbabwe as he ran through the opposition’s top order and helped his team win the match to start the series on high.
However, with T20 World Cup 2022 also around the corner, India would be looking to give more games to the pacer as needs time to settle after returning from the prolonged injury.
With the series already in bag, India is expected to make changes to the playing XI for the final ODI. And one change to bringing Chahar back in the side. The right-arm pacer is likely to replace Prasidh Krishna in the side.
Whatever games Chahar will get to play, it’ll be an opportunity for him to make his case strong for the T20 World Cup 2022. It remains to be seen if management would rope in the pacer in the XI.
