Suryakumar Yadav IND vs WI: In an important news development, India’s in-form batsman Suryakumar Yadav misses out from the playing XI for today’s 5th and final T20I game scheduled to be hosted at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill. On the back of a brilliant collective effort from the team, the visiting Indian side went on to beat West Indies by 59 runs during the 4th T20I game on Saturday. India have now taken an unassailable lead of 3-1 in the five-match T20I series.
IND vs WI: Why is Suryakumar Yadav Not Playing Today?
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Indian skipper Hardik Pandya noted that Suryakumar Yadav is not part of the side for this final game of this Caribbean tour. Suryakumar was tried with a new role that of an opener in the last four T20I matches against West Indies and has now been rested for this encounter. The right-hander also scored an impressive match-winning half-century in the 3rd T20I game.
“We want to bat. We saw how the wicket slowed down yesterday. We want to bat on a fresher wicket. We are like we are not playing at Miami. 99 percent of the fans are supporting India. No matter what happens, we have set some standards for the Indian cricket team. We need to go out there and showcase our skill set. Obviously, the coach, the captain and senior members have done some tremendous job. 4 changes to the team,” said India’s stand-in captain Hardik Pandya.
