IND vs WI: KL Rahul, Axar Patel Out of West Indies T20I Series
India’s vice-captain KL Rahul suffered an upper left hamstring strain while fielding during the second ODI against West Indies and was subsequently out of the ongoing third ODI as well. Rahul will be needing some more time before attaining complete match fitness. On the other hand, left-arm spinner Axar Patel is yet to recover completely after testing positive for Covid-19 ahead of the start of the ODI series. He has resumed the “final stage of his rehabilitation”.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named the duo of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Deepak Hooda as the two replacement players.

India vs West Indies
With KL Rahul unavailable for the entire three-match T20I series, it will be really interesting to see who will open the batting for India alongside skipper Rohit Sharma. The duo of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan are two prime candidates while former captain Virat Kohli can also be a good option as he played as an opener during the final T20I match against England in 2021.
