Arshdeep Singh IND vs SL: In an important news development, India’s premier left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh unfortunately misses out for the India vs Sri Lanka 1st T20I game scheduled to be hosted at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After losing the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022 at the hands of England, India managed to register a 1-0 T20I series victory in New Zealand. India will now play a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka at home.
IND vs SL: Why is Arshdeep Singh Not Playing Today’s India vs Sri Lanka 1st T20I Match?
After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, India captain Hardik Pandya revealed that Arshdeep Singh is not playing the first T20I against Sri Lanka. Incidentally, Hardik mentioned that the young left-arm pacer was not available for selection since he has still not fully recovered from his illness. While playing in his first T20 World Cup in Australia, Arshdeep was the leading wicket-taker for India with a total of 10 wickets from 6 games. In his short T20I career, he has picked up as many as 33 wickets from 21 T20I matches at an economy of less than 9.
“Excited. Always been excited to play for the country, but obviously leading now makes it more special. Excited to see how this new bunch of guys express themselves. We were going to bat first. Yes this is a chasing ground but we want to put ourselves in more difficult situations generally in bilaterals. Anyone who comes here we will make sure we’ll give them the confidence. Two debutants today – Gill and Mavi. Arshdeep was not available,” said India captain Hardik Pandya during the toss.

What is the reason for taking Mavi instead of arshdeep singh ? And where is prasidh Krishna ? Is selecters are mad ?
Please change the selecters ? They will destroy the indian team completely …#INDvSL #arshdeepsingh #askstar #BCCISelectionCommittee #IndianCricketTeam
