IND vs SL 2023: 2022 wasn’t a kind of year that Team India would’ve wanted. They lost major events and also were at the receiving end of thumpings in the bilateral series as well. The Indian Cricket Team would want to start fresh in the 2023, considering the ODI World Cup this year. They will kick start the season with a white-ball series against Sri Lanka. They will play as many as three ODIs and three T20Is, which will be played from 3rd January to 7th January whereas the 50-over games will be played from 10th to 15th January.

With ODI World Cup 2023 around the corner, India would want to give game time to their core players. Therefore it is expected that most of the players who will play this series are likely to be part of the World Cup squad.

There’s no brainer that Rohit Sharma will lead the team and will be back after an injury. Shikhar Dhawan has failed to get going of late but it is likely that he will get another series. Whereas Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan for their heroics of late will be the other two openers in the team.

Virat Kohli along with Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav are likely to be in contention for the middle order. Whereas Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson are expected to be two keepers in the side.

Hardik Pandya is also likely to back in the side after while along with Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar, who will be the three all-rounders in the team. Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav are also likely to be licked whereas Mohammed Siraj, Umran Malik and Jasprit Bumrah along with Shardul Thakur are likely to be the pace quartet in the team.
