Arshdeep Singh IND vs SL: Things have become a lot interesting from the India’s point of view in the ongoing edition of Asia Cup 2022. In a high-octane encounter which went down to the wire, Pakistan managed to leapfrog arch-rivals India for the first time in a Asia Cup game since 2014 as they secured a memorable 5-wicket victory in Dubai on Sunday. Thus, in order to qualify for the finals of the T20 competition, the Men in Blue will have to win both of remaining two games against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.
IND vs SL: Is Arshdeep Singh Playing Today’s India vs Sri Lanka match? Here’s the update
Cricket is surely a game full of uncertainties and the pressure is always massive in any India vs Pakistan encounter as witnessed over the years. 23-year-old left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh recently faced huge criticism after he dropped a simple catch of Pakistani batsman Asif Ali in the penultimate 18th over of the run-chase that eventually proved to be very much costly for the Men in Blue. However, the youngster did not boil down under pressure and bowled a fine last over where he also dismissed Asif with a brilliant yorker delivery but India ended up losing the game after experienced bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar leaked a total of 19 runs in the 19th over. Just after the game, the social media was flooded with abuses and poor remarks for Arshdeep which was seriously intolerable. The whole cricketing fraternity have come forward in the pace bowler’s support as dropping catches is part and parcel of the game.
India is scheduled to face Sri Lanka on 6 September, 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai and Arshdeep Singh is certain to be part of the playing 11. In the match against Pakistan, he finished with figures of 1 for 27 in his 3.5 overs that too in a high-scoring encounter. The Indian pacer will be looking forward to silence his critics with a brilliant performance in a must-win game against Sri Lanka on Tuesday.

After dropping steve smith in the pune test, i was absolutely inconsolable for hours alone in my room. I really hope @arshdeepsinghh doesnt feel that way. He will be more gutted than anyone else in our country tonight. Lets cut him some slack! #INDvsPAK

If you’re blaming Arshdeep, you’re only exposing your knowledge of the game. What an effort from him to take the game to the penultimate ball after that. More power to you young man. @arshdeepsinghh #IndvPak
