Arshdeep Singh IND vs SA: In a crucial news update, India’s left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh is not playing in the IND vs SA third and final T20I encounter scheduled to be played at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. India have already won this three-match T20I series after the hosts picked up an exciting 16-run victory in the second T20I game and also won the first match of the series. This will be last game for the Men in Blue before the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
IND vs SA: Why is Arshdeep Singh Not Playing Today’s India vs South Africa 3rd T20I?
After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, Indian captain Rohit Sharma mentioned that Arshdeep Singh misses out for this third T20I match against South Africa. Rohit also clearly stated that Arshdeep is not playing due to some issues with his back and is rested as a precautionary measure before the all-important mega event. After not being part of the squad for the Australia T20I series, the left-arm pacer ended up picking as many as three wickets in the opening game against the Proteas. India have included the trio of Shreyas Iyer, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Siraj in the playing XI for this final game.
“We’re going to field first. It’s a very high scoring ground, I feel the pitch won’t change a lot so nice to know what target is in front of us. Three changes for us, Rohit and KL are out, and Arshdeep misses out for some issues with his back. It is precautionary, nothing serious. We’ve got Shreyas Iyer, Umesh Yadav and Siraj in. We want to keep challenging ourselves, keep improving and keep batting the same way,” said Indian captain Rohit Sharma during the toss.
