Quinton de Kock IND vs SA 4th T20I: Team India made a superb comeback in Visakhapatnam with a convincing 48-run victory over South Africa during the third T20I encounter. With this excellent win, the Men in Blue are still alive in this home series as the Proteas have a lead of 2-1 in the five-match T20I series. On the other hand, it will now be really important for South Africa to seal the series in their favour with a big win in the upcoming 4th T20I match scheduled to take place on 17 June, 2022 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
IND vs SA: Is Quinton de Kock Playing Today? Here’s the update
The biggest worry for the South Africa team management currently is the fitness of their premier wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock who is yet to completely recover from a wrist injury. The Proteas swashbuckling opener sustained the injury before the second T20I against India and was not available for selection during the last two games. The recent update is that Cricket South Africa (CSA) have tweeted that de Kock has shown improvement in his wrist injury but the final call on his availability will be taken just before the 4th T20I against India on Friday.
“Wicket-keeper batsman, Quinton de Kock, has made a marked improvement in his recovery from a wrist injury. The Proteas’ medical staff will continue to assess his progress and make a decision on his availability for match four in due course,” said an official statement by Cricket South Africa.
