India squad for IND vs SA T20I series: In a massive breaking news development, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced the India squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against South Africa at home. After the conclusion of the exciting Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) season, the Men in Blue are scheduled to host South Africa for a five-match T20I series starting with the first T20I to begin on 9 June, 2022 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. This will be a good preparation for both the teams ahead of this year’s ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

The biggest news from the India’s T20I squad is the absence of star players like regular captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah. KL Rahul has once again been named the India stand-in T20I captain for the South Africa home T20I series. The pace bowling duo of Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik have earned their maiden call-up to the India T20I squad after amazing IPL performances.

The trio of Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel and veteran wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik also make their return to the national side. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Venkatesh Iyer, Deepak Hooda, Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan are some of the youngsters who have retained their spot after not getting enough game time during the previous international series.
