Mohammed Siraj India vs New Zealand: In a massive breaking news development, India have rested their premier speedster Mohammed Siraj for the third and final ODI game against New Zealand scheduled to be hosted at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. The Men in Blue sealed yet another bilateral series in their favour when they registered an amazing 8-wicket victory against New Zealand in the second ODI. A victory in the third ODI will help the Indian team take the No.1 spot in the ICC Team Rankings for ODIs.
IND vs NZ: Why is Mohammed Siraj Not Playing Today’s India vs New Zealand 3rd ODI?
During the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma revealed that both their premier fast bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami are not part of the playing XI for this last ODI against New Zealand. Siraj has bowled impressively well during the last few ODI matches as he also picked up a brilliant four-wicket haul on a flat Hyderabad wicket against the Kiwi side. He has taken as many as 13 wickets in the previous 4 ODI games at an excellent economy rate as well. However, in order to manage his workload and keep him fit and fresh for the Border – Gavaskar Trophy four-match Test series against Australia at home, India have not included him in the side and instead the duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Umran Malik have got opportunities.
“We would have batted first, as a team we want to get out and play well. It is a great ground to play in, everyitme we come here it has been a good score. What is important to give chance to some of the new guys who haven’t had a game and see how they go. We have got two changes – Shami and Siraj are out, Umran and Chahal are in,” said India captain Rohit Sharma during the toss.

Very bad decision to leave out both Shami & Siraj.Who will bowl in Powerplay – Hardik & Umran & Shardul. They will be hammered all around the park, very small boundaries. Moreover they will be bowling dew. How much money @ImRo45 took to not looking for a clean sweep #IndvsNZ @BCCI
