IND vs NZ: Predicted India Playing 11 for India vs New Zealand 1st ODI

After the conclusion of the series against Sri Lanka, India is all set to lock horns against New Zealand in the three-match ODI series. The series will begin from 18th January in Hyderabad followed by second and third games to be played on 21st January and 24th January in Raipur and Indore respectively.

There’s no brainer that Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will open the innings for his team in the first ODI against New Zealand. It is expected that he will be accompanied by Shubman Gill at the top. The young batter has been in the fine form of late and is likely to get a longer rope.

Virat Kohli will continue batting at No.3 along with Shreyas Iyer at No.4. The young batter has been India’s best player in the ODI format of late and it’s fair to say that he has locked that spot in the team. If KL Rahul will be available, he’s likely to bat at No.5 and keep wickets. The right-hander is rumoured to get married in the later half of January. However, if he isn’t available, Sanju  Samson is expected to play in his place.

Hardik Pandya, who was promoted to the vice captain of the team, will bat at No.6 and is likely to play a crucial role with the ball as well. Whereas Ravindra Jadeja is likely to make a comeback in the ODI series against New Zealand.

Kuldeep Yadav will be the leg-spinner in the team whereas Mohammad Shami, Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah are expected to be the three frontline pacers in the team.
