Wasim Jaffer’s hilarious tweet on W Sundar 96*
In India’s first innings during the fourth India vs England Test, Washinton Sundar played a gem of an innings as he saved India’s precarious situation. He scored hundred-run partnerships with Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel and helped India get the crucial first-innings lead.
But just when the left-hander looked set to get his maiden hundred, India’s innings imploded. On the last ball of the 114th over, Axar Patel was run-out which brought Ishant Sharma to the crease.
However, England al-rounder Ben Stokes trapped Sharma in front of the wickets on the first ball of the next over. Then walked Mohammad Siraj to the crease with five balls to survive. Siraj somehow managed to survive dodge two balls, but lost his off-stump on the fourth ball of the innings.
