IND vs ENG: Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant likely to be rested for ODI series against England

The India vs England ODI series will start on March 23. Before that, the 5 matches T20I series is scheduled from March 12. The T20I squad which was announced a few days back did not have Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar. Since the IPL 2020, Indian team management has been focussing on resting the bowlers due to the pressure imposed by the strict bio-bubble. The Indian team has been in a bio-bubble from the time when the IPL began last year. It certainly put a lot of stress on player’s mind given they have to give their 100% every time they step on the field for the national team.

The players like Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Washington Sundar are likely to be rested for the IND vs ENG ODI series starting from the 4th Week of March. It is being said that ahead of the T20I squad selection, the selection panel asked the players if they want a rest or not. It is quite certain that the major players wanted to be a part of the team. The IPL 2021 is likely to start from the 2nd week of April and proper care should be taken about the player’s fitness, as the T20I World Cup will be organized this year.

Tournaments Ahead for the Indian team in 2021
Just after the IND vs ENG series, the Indian players will feature in the IPL 2021. The T20 league demands a good level of fitness as the players all around the world are a part of it. It will be a good breeding ground for the players who will be playing in the T20 World Cup 2021 which will take place in India in October. Apart from that, if the Indian team wins the 4th test, they will play the World Test Championship Final against New Zealand at Lord’s. Later in the year, the Indian team will tour South Africa for 3 Tests and 3 T20Is.
