IND vs ENG: Rohit Sharma INJURED Ahead of India vs England T20 World Cup 2022 Match? Here’s the update
In an important news development, India captain Rohit Sharma sustained a lethal blow on his forearm during an optional training session on Tuesday ahead of the crucial semi-final match against England. Incidentally, Rohit was undergoing his normal practice drills with the Indian team’s throwdown specialist S Raghu at the Adelaide Oval when a short ball bounced off the length area and hit the right-hander on his forearm. He tried to play the pull shot but eventually missed it and was seen in serious pain while leaving the nets immediately. The Indian skipper then tied a big ice pack on his right arm before ending the day with some light training drills.
However, the Indian team management and the medical team will be assessing the extent of his injury before the important semi-final game against England on Thursday. The media also reported that the team doctor did mention that Rohit was fine after the optional training session. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma has not been in the best of forms during this tournament so far having scored just a single half-century against Netherlands, but he will be looking to give his best against England in the semi-finals.
