IND vs ENG: The international cricket returned to India with England being the first visitors. The England Tour of India is turning out to be one of the most interesting series due to the presence of experienced players in both teams. The Indian team has the full-strength squad, with Rohit and Pujara at the top-order, while Virat and Rahane handling the middle-order. The emergence of Rishabh Pant has been exemplary, and Ashwin has contributed to both departments. The other bowlers, Axar and Kuldeep supported the team well in the second test match. The team needs to win 2 matches or the rest of the matches to obtain a ticket to the WTC Finals.
The England team’s rotation policy which caused the ouster of Anderson and Bess hurt them badly with a big margin of loss. The players like Root and Stokes succumbed to the pressure and could not contribute enough to the batting department. The other young players are on the first tour to India and lack of experience can cost the team in the next matches.

World Test Championship Scenario
It has become tricky for the Indian team as well as the England team to qualify for the World Test Championship Finale which is scheduled to be played at Lords in June. The New Zealand team has already qualified for the finals on the back of strong performances against Pakistan and the West Indies. For the Indian team to qualify, they have to win the series by 2-1 or 3-1. For the England team, they have to win the series 3-1. While The Australian team has an outside chance if the series ends in a draw or the England team winning the series.
