IND vs ENG: Jofra Archer is fit and available for India vs England 1st T20I

The England vs India T20I series has been the most awaited series this year. It is because of the players who will be playing in the series. With the T20 World Cup approaching, all the teams are now focusing on the shorter format. Even the cricket boards have told they have cleared the international series window for the players to play in the IPL. It will the first time in years that the England players will be part of the full IPL.The England team has a balanced line-up with no 1 T20 batsman Dawid Malan in the squad.

IND vs ENG: Jofra Archer is fit for the 1st T20I

The England team captain Eoin Morgan confirmed that all the players including Jofra Archer are fit and available to play in the IND vs ENG 1st T20I. “Everybody is fit to play. Jofra is available for the series opener,” Morgan stated during a virtual press conference ahead of the match.

“I think having the strongest squad available to us, which doesn’t really happen that often, allows us to play around with any plans we might foresee using in the World Cup as well. I wouldn’t say we’re hoping for similar pitches to the Test series. I’d say [we’re hoping for] turning pitches,” Morgan added.

“We’ve been in great form in T20 cricket. We’ve had some confidence along the way and picked up some serious wins over the last two years, which is great. But also, we need to develop our game and go into a World Cup with as few weaknesses as possible,” Morgan said.

ENG vs IND: Important players for England team in the T20I series

The players like Sam Curran and Liam Livingstone will surely be the X-factors for the England team. Both have played in the IPL, while Livingstone is coming into this game after a terrific BBL tournament. While the bowler’s Archer and Rashid have been particularly impressive in the limited-overs and would look to maintain the same form in the  India vs England T20I series.
The consistency of Billings and Malan will be very important in the middle-order. Sam Billings has the experience of playing for CSK and was impressive.
