England Playing 11: It all goes down to the fifth and final T20I as the Paytm Series hangs in the balance by 2-2. It was a do or die situation for Team India last night and they ended up proving their mantle by beating them by eight runs. Having won the toss, England elected to have a bowl first.
However, the Men in Blue were up for the challenge this time around as they scored a strong enough target of 185 in 20 overs. England managed to pick up eight wickets in the process, with Jofra Archer being the standout courtesy four wickets for 33 runs in his four over spell. During the run chase, it was Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes who tried their best to cross the line with scores of 40, 25 and 46 respectively.
However, wickets at crucial intervals from Shardul Thakur, Hardik Pandya, Rahul Chahar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar disrupted the England innings and restricted them for a score of 177 for the fall of eight.
Although Eoin Morgan has trusted his eleven more often than not in the past few games. He could probably think about adding Moeen Ali into the fray in place of Sam Curran, to add further depth in their batting line up. Other than that he can also chime in with his off breaks.
