IND vs ENG 1st Test: Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra has picked his playing for the first India vs England Test and importantly he hasn’t included pacer Mohammad Siraj in the team. Aakash Chopra picks 5 bowlers and 6 batsmen in his playing XI

The former opening batsman said that India can keep Rishabh Pant at No.6 and Washington Sundar at No.7, with Ravichandran Ashwin at No.8. According to Chopra, this ensures India has batting till No.8. He added that Kuldeep will play because Jadeja is not there, and India will play at least two spinners in India. The India cricketer said that in the playing XI, India can play the same five batsmen – Gill, Rohit, Pujara, Kohli, Rahane. This means there is no place for Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul in Choprra’ playing XI.

He has also left out Axar Patel who is drafted in the squad as a replacement for R Jadeja who provides batting services along with his spin bowling.
