Pat Cummins IND vs AUS: The massive breaking news update coming from the Australian camp is that their regular captain Pat Cummins was once again not available for selection in the fourth and final Test match against India to be hosted at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The visiting Australian team came back fighting in the third Test to pick up their first victory of this India tour as they defeated the home team by a comprehensive margin of 9 wickets. However, India currently lead the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 four-match Test series by 2-1 margin and they will want to win this final game in order to book a spot in this year’s ICC World Test Championship final.
IND vs AUS: Why is Pat Cummins Not Playing Today’s India vs Australia 4th Test? Who is Australia Captain?
Cricket Australia (CA) have already announced that Pat Cummins will not be returning to India for the fourth Test match in Ahmedabad and will continue to remain with his mother in Sydney as she is suffering from breast cancer and is in palliative care. Steve Smith will once again captain the Aussie Test team in the final Test match after his sensational leadership performance in Indore. Incidentally, Smith is the only captain other than Alastair Cook to win as many as two Test matches in India during the last 10 years. On the other hand, Cummins did not had the best of performances with the ball either during the first two Test matches against India.
It remains to be seen whether Australia ODI captain Pat Cummins will return for the three-match ODI series in India scheduled to begin with the first ODI game on 17 March, 2023 in Mumbai.
Our hearts go out to Pat Cummins and his family ❤️
