Matt Renshaw IND vs AUS: The important news development coming from the Aussie squad is that they have once again dropped Matt Renshaw from the playing XI for the third Test match against India taking place at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. While coming on the back of an amazing home Test series victory over South Africa and a lot of preparations, Australia have witnessed dismal fortunes with two big losses in the opening two Test matches against India. Australia will want to make a strong fightback to register their first victory in this India tour as they are trailing 0-2 in the four-match Test series.
IND vs AUS: Why is Matt Renshaw Not Playing Today’s India vs Australia 3rd Test?
After losing the toss and being asked to bowl first, Australia’s stand-in captain Steve Smith mentioned that they have not included Matt Renshaw in the side for this third Test match against India. Incidentally, Renshaw came in the Australia playing 11 as a concussion substitute for David Warner during the second innings of the 2nd Test match. The left-handed Aussie batter has seemed to only be a walking wicket so far in the last two Test matches with his scores read as 2, 2 and 0. Australia might have backed Renshaw as he scored a couple of half-centuries during the last tour of India in 2017. However, the visitors have now brought in their premier seam-bowling all-rounder Cameron Green who is completely fit and can contribute well both with the bat and ball.
