Kuldeep Yadav IND vs AUS: The crucial update from the Indian camp is that left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav is not part of the India vs Australia 2nd Test match scheduled to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Team India managed to defeat the visiting Australian team by an innings and 132 runs during the first Test match inside just three days. The hosts have taken a 1-0 lead in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 four-match Test series.
IND vs AUS: Why is Kuldeep Yadav Not Playing Today’s India vs Australia 2nd Test?
During the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma mentioned that they are going ahead with an unchanged bowling combination that played the opening Test match against Australia in Nagpur. This means that Kuldeep Yadav will once again have to stay on the bench as the hosts are playing with the spin trio of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel. Ashwin and Jadeja ended up claiming as many as 15 wickets between them in the entire first Test. On the other hand, both Axar and Jadeja scored vital half-centuries lower down the order during the first innings. Recently, during the Bangladesh tour, Kuldeep picked up an excellent six-wicket haul and was also named the Man of the Match as India won the first Test match. However, the wrist spinner will now have to wait for his next opportunity in the Test side.
