IND vs AUS: Why is Glenn Maxwell Not Playing Today’s India vs Australia 3rd ODI?
After winning the toss, Australian captain Steve Smith noted that Glenn Maxwell continues to remain out for this series decider against India. Maxwell did not played the second ODI match on Sunday due to a knee injury and was not completely fit. In the opening ODI encounter against India, the right-hander scored just 8 runs off 10 balls as Australia got bowled out for 188 runs. During the second game, Australian team management decided to play an extra seamer in Nathan Ellis who ended up taking two important wickets and now the visitors are playing with left-arm spinner Aston Agar on the Chennai surface who will come into play in these dry conditions.
“We are gonna have a bat. Looks like quite a dry surface, it is pretty hot out here. Will look to put a good total on this surface. We have had good fun and it will be exciting in the decider. We love playing in the crunch games and it’s exciting. It’s dry, so Ashton Agar is back. David Warner comes in for Cameron Green who is feeling a bit unwell, so there are changes,” said Australia captain Steve Smith during the toss.
