IND vs AUS: The three-match T20I series between India and Australia kick-started at Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) in Mohali. The game was a high-scoring and it saw batters of both the teams fighting till the very end but in end, it was the Aaron Finch-led side who held their nerves better to clinch the game and take 1-0 lead in the series.

Australian skipper Aaron Finch won the toss and put India to bat first. The hosts had a disappointing start to their innings as they lost both skipper Rohit Sharma (11) and Virat Kohli (2) early. But after that, it was KL Rahul (55) and Suryakumar Yadav’s (46) show, who bring out their range of wide shots to tonk the opposition bowlers all over the park.

India then lost a few quick wickets and was tumbling at 146/5. But Hardik Pandya set the stage on fire with his brutal knock in the end. The all-rounder smashed unbeaten 71 runs in just 30 balls to help his side post a mammoth total of 208 runs on the board.
Australia got off the flyer in their chase as skipper Aaron Finch (22) and Cameron Green (61) took Indian pacers to the cleaners. But Axar Patel brought India back into the game with two wickets. After that Umesh Yadav’s twin strikes of Steve Smith (35) and Glenn Maxwell (1) in the 12th over left Australia tumbling at 123/4. However, Matthew Wade (45*) kept his side in the hunt with his brutal power hitting in the end and sealed the game with ease for his side by 4 wickets.
