The Indian team had quite a bit of emotional moments before play began on Day 1. Jasprit Bumrah presented an emotional Navdeep Saini with his first test cap no 299. Then after the toss it was time for both the teams to line up for their respective National Anthem.
Over the years, we have seen cricketers from different countries showing their emotional side while singing the national anthem. Mohammed Siraj gets David Warner
Mohammed Siraj took the new ball along with Jasprit Bumrah and bowled a tidy spell up front. He also prized out the wicket of the dashing opener David Warner. In his second over, he got the ball to move away from the left hander and took the edge that was safely pouched by Cheteshwar Pujara at first slip.
Not only today but even the test before was an emotional one for Mohammed Siraj. He lost his father just before the tour began. He had an amazing debut in the boxing day test match where he picked up five wickets in the test. Mohammed Siraj became the first debutant for India in seven years to pick five wickets in a Test match.
Australia are in commanding position at this stage of the test match as Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne are sending the Indians bowlers for leather hunt. Both the batsman look settled to score massive centuries respectively.
